Church on the Street,a nonprofit organization since 1985, was actually birthed in Pastor Walt's heart in 1978, when he began preaching on the Phoenix streets. In that same year, he rented three small houses for the homeless and began our first discipleship program.
For men and women over the age of 18 who are not currently working. This program is a sober living environment in which each individual will have roommates and share a 600sqft room. This is a free program to individuals who need it.
We have over 50 outreaches weekly that are taking the love and hope of Jesus to people that rarely get touched by the gospel message. We offer food, clothing, music and a message of God's love and hope at every outreach. We'd love for you to join us on an outreach!
Join us for authentic praise and worship experience at one of our Church on the Street services.Powerful worship is lead by men and women from discipleship and Pastor Walt Rattray gives the message. Sun-10:30am & 6pm, Thurs-7pm, Sat-7pm

God loves you and He has a wonderful plan for your life including an eternal plan after this one. John 3:16 tells us, "For God so loved the world He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Humanity is tainted by sin and is therefore separated from God. As a result, we cannot know God's wonderful plan for our lives. Romans 3:23 affirms this information, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Jesus Christ is God's only provision for our sin. Through Jesus, we have our sins forgiven and restore a right relationship with God. Romans 5:8 tells us, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
We must place our faith in Jesus Christ as Savior in order to recieve the gift of salvation and know God's wonderful plan for our lives. John 1:12 describes this for us, "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God."
"Pastor Walt and Louene Rattray are some of the most faithful and hardworking Christians I know. They really are doing IT! It's amazing how God has used them for decades to reach the homeless of our city. I've known them for over 40 years now and am proud to call them my friends in the ministry."
"In our Christian Church world its easy to get caught up in the mundane aspects of "churchianity" and to forget that there's a world around us hurting and lost. Walt and Louene have never forgotten about those in our city who are less fortunate, the undesirables of our city."
